Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
If a car dealer says that "you are guaranteed a vehicle" in an email and they decline you in person, is that a breach of contract?

Did you have the cash to pay? I am sure that would have guaranteed you a vehicle. Otherwise, that email is certainly not something to take seriously and it is not a contract.
I agree with Attorney Riddle. I don't want to get into the nuances of law, but the advertisement was just that ... an advertisement or invitation for you to make an offer. Whether it crossed the line or not, I can't say but I find it hard to believe that a judge would give you a brand new car if you are not otherwise qualified to buy it. And even if you were "guaranteed" a vehicle, the one you might qualify for may not be to your liking. I think this was mere puffery and not an enforceable offer, but run it by he attorney general to see if the language constituted an unfair/deceptive trade practice.
