Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Car not paid for

My husband sold a car a few years ago with the buyer to make payments to him over time. He did for a while, but my husband let him postpone while serving in the military (reserves). He didn't resume paying him although he made several attempts to collect. Now he's sold the car for scrap metal. Does my husband have any recourse?

Re: Car not paid for

The answer depends totally on whether he did the right paperwork, how many years is a "few", and also on what assets the debtor has, both things you left out of your post.
