Car reposession/Judgement

I am no longer employeed, my car was repossed,sold and left me owing a large amount, I lost my job because we have asick child, now I stay at home with our children, can they go after my husband for the debt, he was not on the loan?Or can they just put it on my credit report?I am not on our house loan, I only have a few credit cards that he has been able to pay. What can they do to me?
