Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
car sale default-more specific
I typed a contract that stated basically: I sell this car to you for $4000.00 to be paid in work at my home in the next 12 months. Since, I have had no work, no contact, except my calls to him, and his refusal to bring the car back. What do I do? I want the money, not the car...can I put him in jail? or HOW can I get my money..I don't want the car back a year later. I am about to pay the second years insurance for another $283.

File a small claims lawsuit to collect. Of course, you cannot "put him in jail."

Next time you will hire a lawyer and do things right. At this point meet with a lawyer and see what options you have with your contract.
