Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
civil suit, garnishment
Can a civil suit be transferred to a different state? It was issued in one state and I have since moved ( about a year later)

In theory, maybe. Depends on the court, and rules. However, the chances of getting a pending and properly served case moved because a defendent moves are slim to none, even if it is possible. Otherwise, defendants would just move a lot when facing liability. The lawyer handling the case is the best person to ask.

Unless the case is in federal court, no.
