How to collect debt from failed business
A client of ours went out of business owing us about $5000 and promised to pay us eventually. We have not been paid yet, what can I do to collect? If the business is disolved, does the debt roll over to the owners?

You can file in small claims/magistrate court, if there is one in your county. Whether the individuals are liable can't be answered on the facts provided. Was is a corporation, LLC, partnership, sole proprietorship? The answer to that question, and perhaps others, is important.
