Collecting my money

I've sent 2 certified letters with an invoice to someone who owes me money (bad business deal--broken contract). Should I take her to Small Claims Court or go ahead and put a lien on her home. I know she doesn't have the money to pay me outright.

One does not simply put a lien on property. You have to get a judgment, or the other party has to execute the appropriate documents giviong you a lien.
