can a US company collect in Canada?
I had to leave the US and broke the lease of my apartmant in Atlanta GA.
Now my landlord is asking me $3,000.00 for damages and rent etc.
i am in Canada and do not plan to return to the US. Can they come and get that money from me?

It makes it more difficult to collect on a judgment, but if they are properly motivated, they can reach you in Canada.
