i need to draw up a contract. My husband did mechanic,body and paint work on a vehicle and we need to draw up a contract for the customer to sign. What kind of contract do we need to draw up regarding payment before the customer can retrieve the vehicle

Your questioned can't be answered primarily because you did not even say what you want the contract to cover. If this is a common event, have a lawyer draft one you can copy and use for later transactions.
