Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
I am being taken to court by a debt collector for credit card debt. I have been out of work for fourteen months and have no income, have applied for my S.S.I. for medical reasons. What can they do to me as far as my home and or belongings

See a lawyer NOW. Make sure that you do not let them get a judgment. You MUST act before 30 days from when you got served. A judgment would be a lien on your home. Even if you don't work, they could also seize your personal belongings and bank account.
You may be able to stop them, depending on your numbers, with a bankruptcy or other means.
