Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
Court Marshall left calling card
While my husband was out of town on company business, he returned to his office this morning to find a calling card from a court marshall. He called the number on the card and ewas told he is being sued by a collection agency. My husband did have credit problems a few years ago and he closed his savings account, 41K to pay off al debts. We have not received any collection letters, telephone calls, or any other type communication. Do we need an attorney to handle this matter? What should we do?

Getting sued is definitely the time to get a lawyer. Make sure you read all paperwork and see a lawyer well in advance of any deadlines.
