Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

a credit card collection lawyer filed a civil action complaint on contract against me in superior court hoping I would not reply to it so they could get a judgement by default, my question is how do you reply to such a charge as: COMPLAINT ON CONTRACT in civil court.

We don't know the facts and what defenses you may have. If they are not in your favor, a judgment will be entered against you.

More information is needed on your paticular sitation.

If the debt is large enough, you may want to hire an attorney or at least pay for an in office consultation.

In any event, there are several defenses that may be available to you, limitations, wrong debtor, etc. Therefore, you should hire an attorney, or do research in the local law library

If you have been sued, you need a lawyer. Unless you don't owe the money or limitations have expired, you will likely lose the suit and may find the money for defense is better spent on options that would stop the case (generally bankruptcy). See a lawyer quickly to weigh options.

You need to file an Answer, in which you address each paragraph of the Complaint, and either Admit or Deny each. However, at least consult with a local attorney first.
