Can a credit card company or lawyer have you served papers on a credit card debt at your job? I live and work in Georgia. Thank you.

Yes, and that's a common place to be served. If you were served, it is very important that you see a lawyer immediately. If you miss deadlines, you may next get a garnishment. In some cases a lawyer may be able to help you get rid of the debt.
