What now just go and file my answer stating I have requested details of this debt and have not rec'd them and also requested to pay a settlement and have not had a response?

They do not have to respond to your settlement offer, and at least for now, do not have to respond to your request for "details of charges." Putting that is an answer is irrelvant. You need to file an appropriate answer to the allegations made in the complaint prior to the deadline.
