i recently lost my job and was using my credit cards to pay my bills i still have not found a job and can't afford to repay my bills. i recieve nuemerous phone calls daily is there a way or a law which protects me from being harassed.

You may find that this is a good time to consider bankruptcy, which likely would stop all collection efforts. If you wish to consider that, go to www.glenashman.com and download our free worksheet, and then give us a call at 404-768-3509.

You can advise a collector in writing not to call you, but while that will stop calls, it does not erase the debt or protect you from lawsuits.
