Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Debt filed in Civil Court

I was served a summons and complaint from a third party collection agency on a credit card that has been in default since 09/2001. I filed an answer claiming the absoulte defence of the statute of limitation. What will happen next? Will it automatically go to court or could the judge make a decission on it without it going before a judge and jury?
