deceased mother credit card debt.

my elderly mother died leaving

several credit card debt. the only

income she had was social security

and had nothing at death. what

should i do to as i am unable to

pay the debts.

Unless you were an authorized user of the account, the debts are your mother's, not yours. In the event that your mother had a will, it probably indicated how she wanted here debts dealth with. For instance, if she owned any assets that will be sold, she may have indicated that she wished her debts paid out of those funds.

You are not liable for her debts unless you cosigned so you don't have to do anything.

If she left assets, creditors would be paid out of the assets (and usually ahead of you) in probate. If ehse left none, you have no problem.
