Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Default judgement info

Ex-Landlord filed civil action against me. I moved, never recived court date from court. Have found out now that I missed the court date but was never given notice. Magistrate clerk says talk to the post office fro not forwarding your mail. WHat good is that going to do me? How can I, or can I, file an appeal? I would have gladly shown up to fight her in court.....so what do I do now????

Please advise....TC

Re: Default judgement info

It was your duty to notify the court of your address and to check regularly with them as to court dates.
