If the defendants name is spelled wrong on the complaint in an attempt to collect an alleged debt, (in the state of GA) how would one word the answer and affirmative defense?

You certainly can raise that as a defense, and the ultimate result is that you have wasted time, since the Plaintiff can amend that.
