Disabled widow with credit problems...Please Help

I'm a disabled widow who needs help repairing my credit...In 1995 I became disabled and my bills started backing up...I don't know where to start or who to trust with personal information.. I heard of so many scams when it comes to repairing your credit..

Where do I start? I have judgements..My social security check is being garnished from the IRS...Where does a person like me start to repair the damage...Please help

First, I'd suggest staying from anyone who uses the term "repair credit." There is only one legitimate way to "repair" credit -- paying all debts on time. Check with agencies/charities that may provide some temporary help for you. Beyond that, if you really cannot make deals to pay your debts, the only other viable option may be to consider bankruptcy.
