I am a father who cosigned a student loan for my recently deceased son. Am I still liable?

Absent if he had life insurance on his loan, yes. I'm sorry for your loss, and the bad news. It's a long shot, but some loans have problems or outs, so do see astudent loan lawyer just in case.
