Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

financial obligations

I just found out that my wife has aquired at least 4 credit cards without my knowledge (all in her name only, not joint) her credit card debt is substantial, about 20K, but all of it is in her name, not mine (no joint accounts). what is my liability to her debt in the event that we get divorced (if we get divorced)? Will I have to assume 50% of her debt in the divorce even though it was never a joint account?

Re: financial obligations

Individual debts may get divided in a divorce (not necessariuly 50-50), but without a detailed review of both of your finances and circumstances there is no way to even speculate on this.
