old forclosure

My wife and i had a rental property forclosed on us 2 years ago.We are now being sued in Civil court for 67,000 by a company who has purchased the debt.Can they sue for that amount in civil court and are our options?

If their was a deficiency, and they do the right steps, yes they can sue. There are strict time periods and requirements, and you need to have a lawyer look at the suit immediately.
