Garnishment

I have recently had a garnishment placed on my bank account due to a judgement. There is some discrepancy between the bank and the firm handling the judgement on how the funds will be released. Is there a law stating the amount of time this hold can remain on my account? Currently the entire account is on hold which is more than double the amount of the judgement and it's been on hold for seven days.

What's the nature of the discrepancy? Try talking to your bank, you will have more leverage with them. Best of luck.
