garnishment

how do you stop a garnishment when you never had a chance to go to court on it?

You're asking your question too late. A garnishment only happens after you have lost a lawsuit (usually because you ignored a creditor and the original suit).

There are only two ways to stop most garnishments. One is to pay off the debt. the other, if you qualify, is a bankruptcy. I do handle those, so if you want more information on that, feel free to contact me.
