Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Health Insurance Problem!

I was submitted to 2 hospitals due to a car accident last year. At the beginning of this year I received a call from a collection service stating that we failed to pay a radiology group from one of the hospitals, which we have never heard of or even received a bill from them. I contacted my health insurance and they told me that they did not receive any claim for this service. I submitted my health insurance information to the collection agency. Now, I'm in the process of buying a house and this problem affects my credit score tremendously and my ability to obtain a loan. Should I press charge for the damage that this radiology group causes due to their failure to send us the bill or even notify us of the charge for their service? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Re: Health Insurance Problem!

Your title is "health insurance problem," when it appears that is not accurate. As far as the radiology group, you fail to state what their response was when you contacted them to try to resolve the issue of the bill, whether and where they mailed it, etc. That is the obvious (and missing) first step.
