Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

My husband of 31 years has 10 rental houses along with 10 mortgages and other credit card debt, all in his name alone. If he dies, will I be responsible for the debt he has incurred?

Yes and no. Not directly, but depending on how his estate is probated you likely would not be able to inherit some or all of that property without paying the debt. You (and he) badly need a lot of estate planning with lawyers.
