Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Joint credit card account

I have a joint credit card acct and I'm the responsible party for balances on both cards. The 2nd card has been maxed out and the person is not making payments. Is there anything I can do to make them responsible for the balance on their card? I have no balance on my card and I have paid $1,100.00 since Jan '08 on the 2nd card.

Re: Joint credit card account

If it's joint you are liable for the whole amount. You probably can't sue the other person unless you have a contract requiring the other party to pay.
