This judgment will continue to follow you around and pop up until you satisfy it (either by paying it completely, negotiating a compromised amount with the judgment holder, or coming to some other type of arrangement with the judgment holder). I can't tell you what you should do -- only your attorney can advise you in that manner after speaking with you about the specifics of your case.

Best of luck.*******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******

You should do now what you should have done when you first got sued. Get a lawyer right away. The judgment won't just disappear. In fact, it accrues interest.

Your options are to settle the debt by working out a payment, or possibly bankrupting to get rid of it for good. Otherwise your pay and bank accounts could be garnished.

My office handles bankruptcy in your zip code area, so if you want to give me more information I can advise you if that would work for you and what it would cost.
