Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Judgement against my son and I

A judgement was placed against my son and I in June 2003. My son hit a car his fault and no car insurance so state farm sued both of us for the damage of around $5400. We have been paying since 2003 and as of today our balance owed is $4339. They keep charging us interest and the balance never goes anywhere. We probly have paid close to $4000 already but the balance never goes down. If we miss a month they threaten to suspend our driver license. Please give advise on how to get this down can they charge interest and suspend drivers license

Re: Judgement against my son and I

One possible answer is bankruptcy. That might eliminate the judgment and preserve a license, depending on facts you did not post. Call my office to discuss it.
