The laws of when a vehicle can be repossed

I am wanting to know by law how long do you have to be defaulted on a car payment before if can be repossed can it be repossed if it is 10 days late?????

Unl;ess your contract provides to teh contrary, a car can be repossessed if it is one second late. However, few reputable lenders will do so if you have a good track record with them until a loan is at least a couple months behind. The "Buy Here Pay Here" lots sometimes act much faster.
