Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
I need a legal contract for a past debt that I can use in court in the future. I lent someone around $10k a year ago, but it is spread out. I have the ability now to write something up and have them sign it for the whole debt. I'm not really sure how to word it.

If you word it yourself that will likely not help. A lawyer can draft a note that is goingt o be easier to enforce. While that still doesn't guarantee payment, it gives tools to collect. It likely will not cost much to draft properly. Call me if I can assist.

Try www.ilrg.com and go to their forms archive. You can get promissory notes payable on demand or in installments there for free.
While it is not a substitute for having an attorney draft it, its better than nothing.
