Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I live in Georgia and am married. My husband and I disagree on how we should pay our bills. I have a credit score of about 800. His is probably 3!! Anyway, what he does is apply for and receives these credit cards from small companies. When he maxes them out, he won't pay for them anymore. He response to me is, "What else can they do to me?" These aren't large amounts, but overall they add up. We are about ready to separate over this because I have told him I'm legally responsible for his debts since we're married. He disagrees. I'm so worried about this. Who is correct?

You are not directly responsible for his debts. However, you will certainly suffer tremendously due to his poor financial practices, dishonesty and lack of basic morals (he is basically stealing from the card issuers) and other issues he probably has. You'll end up supporting him. He needs counseling.
