Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

outstanding credit card debt

I have unpaid credit card debt which I have ignored for years and now the county Marshall's office is trying to contact me. what can they do? Can I contact them and try to set up a payment or is it too late for that? My main concern is that they'll try and garnish my wages. They have been coming to my mother's home which I no longer reside to contact me.
