Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I have a pending collections case in which I am defending from NC. My question is if a judgment is made against me in NC and it is moved to Georgia....... Is my house protected since it is owned by me wife and I both?

If you own an interest, a judgment lien can be placed on the property.
