Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
Post billing
We own a small company. We received a bill of over $2,000.00 from our phone service provider after they had done an audit and found items for which they had not charged during the past 12 months. Is this legal to past bill? Does the phone company not have any responsibiity?
Thank you for your assistance.

Re: Post billing
Assuming the charges are correct, you have already benefited from an extra year's worth use of the money. Legally, if you owe it you owe it.
However, as a consumer, it is probably reasonable to ask the company to give you some time to pay, or some other customer service concession. If you approach it as a legal problem, they're in the right, but as a consumer matter, you may get some help.
