Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
I just received a collection notice from a company that is in bankruptcy and out of business. I did not even know I owed this company anything and it is from 2009. What do I need to do since there is no way to contact this company about the debt to question it or even dispute it?

Either you owe money or you don't. If you don't, defend the case (and get a lawyer). If you do owe money, their bankruptcy is NOT a defense (indeed it increases the chances you will be targeted).
Creditors often sell and buy debts. It should be easy for you and your lawyer to get information.
