Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

received a summons by sheriff dept

i am beng sued by lawyers for a credit card co. for $1400.00 + fees I was making small payments , I had not made my october paymet yet when i was served with a summons, i am currently receiving social security disabilty and do not have anything of value nor anyone that i can borrow the money from what do i do next?

It would be wise to meet with a lawyer (look for one that handles bankruptcy and debts). If you're in metro Atlanta, call me to discuss this. What you should do depends on information you did not post. In any event, be sure to see a lawyer before 30 days elapse from you receiving the suit.
