Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
Sale of auto
My 20-year-old niece made a verbal agreement to purchase an auto from me for $1,000. She needed to get insurance so I signed the title over to her. She has only paid $200 so far and now she refuses to pay any more. She wants to trade the car for one somebody has fpr sale for $300. I want to get my car back and donate it to Salvation Army. Do I have any rights?

Re: Sale of auto
You have the right to collect the remaining sale price from her. You gave up your rights to the car when you transferred title to her with no payment (and no written contract or security agreement).
