Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

SOL and then what do you do??

I have been told that there is a statute of limitations on credit card collections, is this true? I have just been served with paperwork and would like to know my next steps.

Yes, the statute of limitations could be 10 years or more, depending on facts we do not know. If you do owe the money, one possible solution is to discuss a written payment plan that honor your obligation, resolve the lawsuit and perhaps avoid a negative entry on your credit report.
