Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Student Debt

I attended a school from 00-01, I withdrew in the middle of the semester. Since then I have went to another school and graduated. Now I'm going to school again and I can't get my grades from this school because they say I owe them from when I withdrew. For the last three years I haven't known about this until I contacted them. What I owe is already in collections. Do I still owe this if I didn;t know about it?

Re: Student Debt

It is possible to owe money without realizing it. The issue would be them sending your account to collections without first notifying you of the amounts owed.
