You have to do your own research. There are a few other options, like bankruptcy, but it is only available in certtain circumstances. Do you have public or private loans? Public loans may be more flexible in coming up with a payment you can afford. Also, you might be able to consolidate to a lower interest rate. I would check out what is available at the US Department of Education if you have public loans.
