student loan

i had a student loan 18 years ago is there a statue of limitations. the student loan was 1500 and it is now 7200.and they are threating to garnish my wadges, what can i do

Student loans never go away. You need to pay it before it gets bigger.

Since you asked what can you do, the obvious first option is to pay the debt. Perhaps they will take a payment plan, but you'll still probably pay more than if you had simply paid off the rather modest loan over 18 years. The short answer the the statute of limitations is that for most student loans, there is not one.
