substandard roofing work

recently I hired a person to put a new metal roof on my home,my roof leaked even worse after he finished than before. It cost me $600.00 to hire someone to come and fix the mess he made of my roof. Can I take him to small claims court and sue for the money it cost me to get my roof fixed properly. It took the gentleman about seven hours to fix the mess the first man made, Now my roof doesn't leak.

Sure you can, and you have to prove to the court what he did wrong (possibly with the testimony of the second person).
