Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

sued by collection agency

I have been sued by a collection agency for a credit card that was charged off. I cannot work out side my home, because I am the sole care giver of my 84 year old father. I cannot afford to file bankruptcy. what can I do?

Re: sued by collection agency

A bankruptcy is usually the only thing that will stop a lawsuit if you owe the money.

"Charged off" does not mean you don't owe it. It simply is a derogatory report that shows taht you have refused to pay and they haven't yet collected.

Don't assume a bankruptcy is as expensive as you think it is. Contact my office for more details on costs.
