We have an unsecured dept that has gone in to a civil action file.

Can we still set up small payments that we can afford ?

If you have been sued, you need to see a lawyer right away. Payments may not be an option, and you may have other options. Be sure you see a lawyer before the end of 30 days from when you were served.
