Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Me and my wife have been asked by a lady, that we don't know, in another country to receive money to distribute to the needy. For doing this she is going to pay us a portion of the money. Her lawyer has asked for a photo copy of my wife's drivers license. It does not have her ss# on it. I know this sounds crazy. Can any harm be done in proceeding to do this. If they were to ask for any other info I would not give it to them, but this seems harmless. Can you help me?

Are you kidding about considering this? This is one of the oldest, most common scams since email started. Delete emails from people you do not know.

This is the oldest scam in the book and you are dealing with criminals. If you want to lose your identity, which they probably will steal, and your assets, which they also plan to steal, go ahead. Otherwise, change your phone number and email address and contact the police.

I am deadly serious - this is a scam as the other lawyers noted. It is a variation of the Nigerian emails that float around.
