Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Workplace Theft

I was acused of stealing merchandise credit cards from my former job. They had me to write a written confession and sign papers saying i would pay the money back. I sent in the check for $115.00 and they cashed it, however they marked out the ''paid in full'' i had written on it. They had told me i may be responsible for paying fees such as the money the company paid the LP manager to persue the investigation. Can you tell me if this is normal and how much these fees may be?

Re: Workplace Theft

No one here can tell you what your company might try to collect from you, and you do not provide enough detail about any written agreement you made. There probably is not a "normal" charge for this. Normal is probably criminal charges.
