Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

In 2014 I helped my ex file her taxes. Since the break up she is trying to file charges saying I stole the money, she never received it. My background is very bad and an investigator contacted the residence I lived at with the ip address used asking questions about me. I haven't been contacted by any investigators but I am scared they are trying to build a case based on my ex girlfriends accusations. Should I be worried or what should I do?
