Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I need advice
My boyfriend and myself were both charged with possession and intent to distribute. If i take the charge and plea first offender and say that i purchased the drugs for myself will i still do jail time?

That depends on the plea offer and the judge. This still would not guarentee that your boyfriend would not be charged. You BOTH need to have an attorney as this is the type of charge that can routinely end in jail time.

You need more than advice; you need to employ an attorney to evaluate your options and provide representation. Representation against the charges that you are facing is not a do-it-yourself area of the law.

Depends on the county, prosecutor, judge and how well the attorney you hire can negotiate such a deal.
